Paving Foreperson ‚€“ (Farmington, ME):¬ ¬  We are seeking a safety minded, qualified leader to be the Foreperson for a paving crew based in the Farmington, Maine area.¬  The selected candidate should be familiar with all aspects of the paving operation and must have the ability to effectively lead and manage a paving crew in the field.¬  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; working knowledge and thorough understanding of job estimating, specification and operating procedures, assisting in crew conflict resolution, participating with the employee evaluation process, training new hires, and coordinate crew logistics.¬  Classification:¬  Seasonal exempt weekly salary position.


Requirements:



  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.

  • Strong mathematical skills, computer skills and the ability manage administrative duties in a timely manner.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Must display a courteous and professional attitude when dealing with co-workers and the public.

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights.

  • The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont when needed.

  • A valid driver's license.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
